M's quilts done!

I finally buckled down last week, and finished quilting M's quilt.  The binding is done... just didn't take pics of it yet.

Blankets

A number of months ago, I decided to use some minky I had bought last year, to make new blankets for the girls. 

Their room is quite cold in the winter, and my youngest especially, really likes the feel of minky.  The blankets they had a babies were barely long enough to keep them covered anymore, so in a few hrs, I had these 2 whipped up.

 

K's was made with some scraps, but she loves it.  The blue has hearts in it, so that was her favorite part.

 

They bring them everywhere they go.  Their "warm blankets" travel with them to bed, the couch, the car, friends houses, and make they great forts too!

A week in Review

So even though I booked last week off, I still made 4 Sleep Sacks. Turns out my kids like to entertain them selves, and actually get a long really well! The Reno's aren't complete yet, we still have to dry wall, texture and paint the sewing room, but the girls room and hall way are done! No pics yet, they will come. We're definitely exhausted, and I don't plan on doing the other room for a few weeks since I need to catch up on sewing!
. I found some fabric that I fell in love with, and picked the light green for the walls in the girls room. Don't you like it? I want to make quilts, curtains, and bed skirts with them. I want the quilt to be simple but nice. I'm thinking strips of fabric different widths, and quilted just on either side of the seam. What do you think? The main fabric will be the Pink Bubbles (center one).
